Future managers of sustainable green tech enterprises are expected to have a strong background in the understanding of sustainability, as well as how to apply this technology in a historical, political and socioeconomic context. Advanced skills in green tech management and green tech knowledge are also required. According to a report from PwC, the green sector is expected to grow exponentially over the next decade and offer great employment opportunities to graduates who specialise in this field.
The MSc Green Technology & Sustainable Societies teaching methods adopt a very hands-on approach of skill and knowledge acquisition. You will take part in interactive discussions with instructors and experts, explore case studies of contemporary organisations as well as participate in activities outside the classroom (conferences, seminars, and professional networking events). Practical projects will encourage you to find and develop a competitive advantage for companies specialising in chemicals and materials, transport and mobility, and energy transition.
The region of Lyon allocates more money to renewable energy than any other in France. Thanks to a strong political commitment and its clean tech development plan, Lyon has become a popular testing ground for innovative environmental solutions. From big industrial groups or SME’s to public and private R&D centres, Lyon offers ideal conditions for experimentation as well as numerous business opportunities as one of Europe’s most important clean technology development regions.
The Master of Science Green Technologies and Sustainable Societies is based on a combination of learning-by-doing activities, projects and challenges. You will be able to conduct field-work projects, attend professional conferences, collaborate with other institutions, participate in a multidisciplinary hackathon, and participate in the organisation of green tech events.
