Distinctive features
LESSAC: A big home for big data
The MSc Data Science & Organisational Behaviour is a unique programme of its kind in Europe. The highly rigorous academic part is related to our globally famous research lab LESSAC, whilst the professional component is sponsored by PwC in Luxembourg.

LESSAC, the Laboratory for Experimentation in Social Sciences and Behavioural Analysis, was created at BSB in 2008, and is the largest experimental economics platform in Europe and one of the main players in the field of research. It provides students with a multidimensional platform to carry out research projects, conduct market behaviour analyses, and engage with each other in a professional environment.
STRONG ACADEMIC CONTENT
The MSc Data Science & Organisational Behaviour offers students a unique perspective on digital science and business behaviour management. BSB is proud to have international coaches and senior advisors who are able to regularly offer in-depth content expertise, sharing their market analysis approach with students.

Our close partnership with PwC allows industry specialists to design 50% of the curriculum and convey their expertise of case studies and market patterns to our students at BSB. The programme also provides future professionals sound knowledge and skill sets, enabling you to understand and modify decision making when dealing with large organisations.
PROFESSIONAL IMMERSION
This programme has a unique partnership with PwC Luxembourg, which provides an excellent opportunity for young professionals to visit the PwC Data Centre, work on case studies directly extracted from current market affairs and learn from industry experts. This field trip forms part of the academic programme; students have an opportunity to visit different EU capital cities each year during their academic week, participate in the “Southern Experimentalist Meeting” and be immersed into the business environment at different locations.

Not only does this equip you with a global market overview and industry operation across different EU cities, but it also allows you to learn about varying work ethics, company atmospheres, and industry cultures. The programme teaches transferable soft skills as well as the hard technical skills that boost your employability. The MSc Data Science & Organisational Behaviour sets a record-high 93% employability rate, as graduates are able to obtain top job placements within 3-6 months.
TEACHING METHODS
The MSc Data Science & Organisational Behaviour programme incorporates a professional thesis project, which begins as soon as you enter the programme. The yearly project focuses on three key phases of design and experimentation, collection of primary data, and the execution of an informed market-based decision in the final step of the project.

During the process, not only do you gain advanced skills in software languages such as "R" and "Python", but you are also taught the complex "Z-tree and o-tree" to further bolster your skills. A high specialisation in coding languages remains at the heart of the programme focus, constituting 90% of the taught academic material. However, BSB is committed to teaching young professionals in the most effective manner, which is the reason why it aims to limit the MSc Data Science & Organisational Behaviour classes to a maximum of 35 students. In recognition of the rigorous and challenging content, teaching is kept highly personalised in order to address individual questions and facilitate a full learning experience for everyone.

Ongoing research to gain insight and perspective

We believe that research is a core activity within a business school, and part of our academic legitimacy relies on our capacity to produce knowledge through research, experimentation, and evaluation. We see research as a great path to learning as it cultivates critical analysis, structuring reasoning, and seeing things from a new, advanced perspective.

Since 2003, we have had our own research centre known as the CEREN (Centre de Recherche sur l'Entreprise) led by the Associate Dean of Knowledge & Transfer. The CEREN brings together all the research activities at BSB.

BSB is the only French business school to have its research centre assessed by the prestigious HCERES, which is the national independent administrative authority that evaluates research units.

The research work carried out in the CEREN aims to promote models of organisation and governance that can enhance and regenerate their ecosystems based on the concepts of social and societal responsibility, ethics, sustainability and diversity.

CEREN is structured around 6 core research areas

Decisions &
Behaviours

Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Finance & Corporate Governance
